We’re proud to announce that SEC Storage was a finalist for the ‘Innovative Use of Autonomous Vehicles’ Award at the Robotics & Automation Awards 2024.
This award entry was focused on our project with Pro FS (Professional Fulfilment Services), where we deployed Europe’s first RoboShuttle Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) tote-retrieval system.
This project features two significant streams of innovation – AI-driven system design and groundbreaking robotics technology – that together have created a remarkable project that demonstrates how machine learning, combined with modern robotics, can help bring revolutionary automation to warehouse operations of all sizes.
The system uses two robot types working alongside each other: RS robots retrieve totes from up to eight metres and bring them down to ground level, whilst P40 robots operate beneath racking to transport totes to pickers.
This nomination is a testament to SEC’s innovative work in the integration and deployment of robotics and automation.
