With the need to move arising through a compulsory purchase order, Abbots were looking at suitable premises in the Home Counties. Following a recommendation from a commercial property agent, SEC Interiors were invited to provide detailed designs, costs and the support work they needed to show due diligence to the council’s compulsory purchase agents.

With added time constraints due to the existing Landlord occupier wishing to still occupy some of the space at the proposed property in Berkhampsted, Abbots looked at a second option at Spring Park in Hemel Hempstead.

Reacting to these tight timescales, SEC Interiors provided designs and costing for an overall proposal, clearly demonstrating that it would be more cost effective for Abbots to relocate to the Hemel site rather than Berkhampsted.

Following submission of the designs, Abbots received the necessary approval from Watford Borough Council to support the order for the Spring Park site in Hemel. A Licence to Alter was required alongside the new lease, for which SEC Interiors and Abbots took a phased approach, with works getting underway and the Licence to Alter successfully signed off at the end of the installation process.
