Are You Ready to Revolutionise Your Workspace?

The Workspace Design Show in London was an exciting event that our team at SEC Interiors attended to stay ahead of the curve. We wanted to share our experience with you, to show you just how inspiring this event was and how it could shape the future of your workspace. Here’s what we loved about the show:

Quiet Spaces and Pods

Janine Burnell, one of our team members, was impressed by the many quiet spaces and pods on display. These movable spaces provide a flexible alternative to permanent meeting rooms and could be just what your office needs. Janine also thinks that communication is key to fostering creativity and innovation in the workplace, and that people-led design means putting people’s needs and preferences first.

Large Pods for Drop-In Meetings

Russell Coleman, our sales director, was particularly drawn to the large pods that could be used as drop-in meeting rooms. He also believes that a return to a respectful relationship between employers and employees could shape tomorrow’s workspace. To foster creativity and innovation, designs using dynamic finishes and textures and promoting a culture of working in different locations throughout the day, are a good fit for today’s commercial office workspace.

Relaxing and Functional Workspaces

Jonathan Richmond, SEC Interiors Design & Proposals Manager, was excited about the creation of relaxing and functional workspaces that will entice people back to the office. He also recommends creating flexible workspaces that can be used for multiple purposes throughout the day, and providing suitable spaces for people to feel comfortable while staying productive.

Sustainable Design

At SEC Interiors, we understand that sustainable design is a vital aspect of any workspace fit-out. Our team is committed to making the world a better place, and we believe that businesses can set a trend by prioritising sustainable design. Our team members all agree that sustainable design should be more incentivised and less penalised. Our team had a blast exploring the latest design trends in the industry, and we were particularly impressed by the innovative quiet spaces and pods showcased at the exhibition. These flexible and movable meeting rooms are perfect for a constantly changing workplace, providing the perfect space for focus and collaboration. It’s great to see that employers are focusing on the importance of creating a comfortable and inspiring environment to improve productivity and employee satisfaction.

The SEC Interiors team also had the opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of sustainable design in fit-out; we were inspired by the ways in which businesses can take action to save the planet, from recycling and reusing materials to understanding the life cycle of products and designing with sustainability in mind.

Overall, we had a fantastic time at the Workspace Design Show and came away with many ideas to enhance our clients’ experiences. We hope that our insights have piqued your interest and that you’ll consider partnering with us for your next workspace project.

Let’s make your workspace a beautiful, functional, and sustainable environment that inspires productivity and creativity!
