Client Background

XPand Logistics has offices in London (HQ), Basildon, West Horndon, Manchester & Glasgow to provide comprehensive solutions for all its customers’ shipping needs. They provide professional logistics services to businesses across the UK and Worldwide, other services include; Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Road Freight, Customs Brokerage, Courier Services, Consular Services, Warehouse Storage & Contract Logistics.

Project Description

This latest design and installation project was for the customer’s Basildon warehouse where we undertook a stylish refurbishment of a smart reception area, staircase, WC & disabled WC as well as a tea point, fully decorated to include new carpets and flooring throughout, in keeping with their brand.

 

What We Provided

SEC Interiors designed and installed a full office refurbishment programme in line with previous projects using the customer’s preferred style, to enhance their brand identity across the facility.

Long Term Partnership with XPand Logistics

Our very first project for XPand Logistics saw us provide a meeting room and staff area contained in an ‘undercroft’ of their warehouse facility in Egham. These initial drawings showcased our design concepts for XPand Logistics which have been the heart of every project since, maintaining a clear and contemporary brand identity. From the off, the client was delighted with both our visuals and delivery of service.

To follow, came a refurbishment project at their HQ also situated in Egham which provided an enhanced office and meeting area, kitchen facilities, all with the same brand and style applied throughout.

With the purchase of another large warehouse facility in Basildon, we designed and installed a similar ‘undercroft’ environment which we enclosed to provide them with an office, kitchen and washroom facilities.

As part of a large office fit-out project on the first floor of their Basildon facility, they now have a huge office space measuring 6000 sqft (enough for 90 desks!) to grow into over time, plus vital IT infrastructure with power and data cables ready for desks to be installed in line with their expansion plans. Here also we designed and installed a stylish 3-sided grey kitchen with seating areas and a large panelled glass wall to add a contemporary feel.

Additionally we have designed and installed a bespoke office for the Managing Director in Basildon which also utilises the contemporary glass panelling theme, referred to as ‘Crittall Style Office Partitions’, an old aesthetic that has become very popular in recent years – it could almost be described as a design trend! This style of office partitions has been a central theme across the customer’s sites.
