Mounted on mobile bases, the structure moves left to right, reducing the number of aisles required

The whole mobile pallet racking system is operated electronically via a control panel or remote control. Rack rows can be moved individually or, to save time, as a complete block. Mobile racking provides high-density storage as aisles do not need to be left open.

It is an ideal solution for products requiring specific storage conditions, such as refrigeration or deep freeze, where it is important to make use of all the space.

Case Study – Mobile Cantilever Racking Solution at Kawneer UK

SEC Storage provided the design and installation of a high-density, mobile cantilever racking system, achieving maximum storage capacity at Kawneer UK Ltd’s manufacturing facility in Cheshire.

Our initial warehouse appraisal identified that a mobile cantilever racking solution would be the optimal system for Kawneer’s product type i.e. building materials in the form of long and awkward loads. To begin, SEC made preparations to the warehouse floor, cutting out the specified channels where the rails were to be installed. The cantilever racking was then mounted to mobile bases, with these bases then driven by a dedicated, three-phase motor along the channels.
